The 4th Posidonia Shipsoccer Tournament has now officially been launched and registrations are now open to all members of the worldwide shipping community. The 5×5 soccer tournament will take place on Sunday 1st June 2014 at the Karaiskaki Stadium, an UEFA Champions League venue, and will mark the start of the largest gathering in the shipping calendar, the Posidonia 2014 International Shipping Exhibition (2-6 June 2014).
The Greek and international shipping community will once more compete on the football pitch for the prestigious Posidonia Shipsoccer trophies. The matches will start at 17:30 and the award reception will take place after the final, at approximately 22:00, at the Karaiskaki Reception Hall.
The one-day tournament will host 24 teams representing major shipping companies and organisations from all over the world, which will compete in four groups. The best four teams will proceed to the semifinals.
